Meet Allison
Hi I’m Allison! Since the time I was young I’ve had an innate curiosity for human behavior and relationships. I was always deeply connected to the idea of having a profession that centered on helping others but it wasn’t until my own experience on the other side of the “couch” when I realized I wanted to be a therapist.
Life is hard and we all have a story. There is profound healing in creating space to share our narratives. Transformation is possible when we recognize that everyone deserves support. I am deeply passionate in helping my client’s reclaim space in their own lives as they move towards their most authentic selves.
I work with a diverse range of adult individuals who are experiencing challenges related to anxiety, relationships, life transitions, and self worth.
My approach to therapy is genuine and collaborative. My goal is to create a space where each of my clients feel seen and supported. I value holistic treatment and tailor my practice to the unique needs of my individual clients. I draw from a variety of different modalities including psychodynamic, internal family systems, narrative, and strengths based approaches.
I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Illinois. I received my Masters in Counseling from The Family Institute at Northwestern University. I have seven years of experience working in private practice.
In addition to my graduate education I am a certified yoga instructor and have completed in depth training in psychologically sensitive/trauma informed yoga. I also have a level 2 certification in integrative somatic parts work.
